Behind the coffee This coffee is grown and produced by ACODIHUE a cooperative founded in 1996 with the support of the European Union and the government of Guatemala. It is a primarily coffee producing organisation, made up of 20 agricultural associations the coffee produced is Organic and certified Fair Trade.
ACODIHUE has used funds from coffee production to establish health, education and nutrition programmes in the Huehuetenango Region. More recently ACODIHUE provided educational programmes and scholarships for members of the cooperative. Equipment for 15 classrooms in local schools was donated and training provided for teaching staff and school administrators.
Flavours and characteristics A sweet acidity with citrus notes, accompanied with pleasant fruity notes of strawberry and plum. With a solid body, balanced with a hint of chocolate. A Nice clean aftertaste.
